Site Planning

We assist planning efforts for individual site developments and re-development projects as wells as small and large subdivisions and unit developments. They include feasibility analysis, conceptual design maps and presentation exhibits. We build from our proven experience with addressing client needs, community concerns, infrastructure requirements, government regulations, and environmental impacts.

Utility Design

We design water supply wells, and booster pump systems, distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection systems and treatment facilities, and storm water facilities for site developments and public works projects. We coordinate with local utility companies to design and install power, natural gas, phone, and cable TV services. We evaluate system demands and design facilities to minimize operation maintenance costs. Our infrastructure designs consider life cycle costs, system reliability, future demand and expansion needs.

Roadway Design

Design of private driveways, rural and subdivision roads, urban streets, highways, and bike-pedestrian facilities. Our principal engineers have designed road and pathway projects for the City of Steamboat Springs, Routt County, and the Colorado Department of Transportation. We design roads and driveways in challenging mountain terrains. Our road designs strive to minimize impacts to the environment and scenic vistas.

Grading and Erosion Control

Typical services include detailed access drive and house grading plans, retaining wall designs, earthwork quantity calculations, re-vegetation plans and specifications, and temporary or permanent erosion control structure designs. Where dictated by site conditions, Four Points Surveying and Engineering also works in close association with qualified geotechnical engineers to evaluate slope stability and soil characteristics for the proposed construction.
